ÜMRAN

Ümran Duman was born on April 29, 1993, in Hatay, as the second child of her family. She completed her primary, middle, and high school education in Hatay and studied Business Management at university in Mersin.

After graduating, she worked for a few months in the accounting department of a 4-star hotel. Later, she and her husband established their own company, designing personalized products and running an e-commerce business. They successfully expanded their business, first achieving success in domestic sales in Turkey, and then in international exports.

After the birth of her baby, she chose to take a break from her career to be present for every moment of her child's early life.

When her children reached preschool age, although she wanted to return to work, she didn’t do so upon her husband’s insistence. Instead, following his suggestion, she turned to her hobbies. She realized that music had always been her greatest passion since childhood, and began taking vocal lessons as a hobby. We can say she found herself in music.

One night, when she was feeling very down and alone, inspiration struck, and she suddenly wrote her first song, “Neden Sevgilim” (Why, My Love). This continued, and she began putting her emotions—both joy and sorrow—into words. Within two years, she had written 20 songs.

She never sat down with the intention of composing music; because as she wrote the lyrics, the melody would already be playing in her mind. While writing the lyrics, she would sing the melody and record it.

Once she had 20 songs, she began questioning why she wasn’t pursuing this discovered talent, and decided to follow her passion. She believes music and emotions are universal. Since each of her songs is unique and different from the others, she has great confidence in both herself and her work. She is certain that her lyrics will touch listeners’ souls.

She founded her own production company, Peri Müzik Yapım. On this journey, she aims not only to achieve personal success but also to inspire and guide others.

Although she has many songs she deeply values, she didn’t want to express herself with just one song. Following her husband’s suggestion, she decided to debut with three songs and then continue releasing her other works consistently.

After planning her career around her songwriting and compositions, she didn’t stop there—she continued writing more songs. She will begin her music journey by releasing just three of her projects and move forward with confidence and determination. She also has surprise projects planned in the field of music. She is firmly committed to progressing toward her goals step by step.
